Curated Talks and Deep Dives into Wing Noodles: The Heart of Chinatown
This illustrated lecture tells the intertwined stories of the Wing’s businesses and the Lee family in Montreal from the turn of the 20th century until 1964. Wing’s began as an importer, grocery, and herbal medicine store and pivoted after World War II to manufacturing noodles, fortune cookies, and sauces. Through the decades in Montreal Chinatown, the common themes of the business and the family have been hard work, perseverance through adversity, family solidarity, and commitment to the community.
